Easter Service

Easter Sunday was unbelievable. We setup late Saturday night to save us some headache on Sunday morning. Then we show up at 7:00am on Sunday morning and started blowing up balloons for the big day. Soon more and more volunteers begin to show up, our worship team with a new leader begin doing sound checks, kids workers were getting their classes ready, we were checking the pool to make sure that it is ready for baptisms, coffee was being made, and before we could blink, it was game time!
We were able to set up all of our new chairs and we would need every one of them! We had a record attendance for a Sunday morning. We shattered the number of attenders that came to our launch service just a little over 7 months ago. The music was great, the videos worked, we had a lot of visitors checking us out for the first time, we had family members who were in town to be with us on Easter, it was an overwhelming display of God's glory. By the end of the service we saw people make decisions to trust Christ as the forgiver and leader of their lives. Others committed to being baptized at our next baptism service, and many more admitted that they were in a place where they needed God to intervene and pull them out of difficult situations.
But the service wasn't over yet. We moved from the gym into the pool and were able to baptize 9 people! We had planned on 8 but we had one girl who said that she was ready and in the pool she went! It was an amazing sight to be in the pool and look all around the pool area at a crowd of people standing, sitting on benches, filling the bleachers, and yelling and applauding every time someone came out from under the water. The angels rejoicing in heaven had nothing on us that day!
God is up to something big in Bedford and we cannot wait to see what He has in store next.
