LAUNCH
Despite our inadequacies, God did something exceptional among us this past Sunday. The dreams that began to unfold over a year ago gave birth to a new body of believers. The foyer of Bedford Elementary School quickly filled with new faces, family and friends and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. We quickly realized that we needed another check-in table for Kids Rock. When the service began, I stood in the back of the gym watching people sing praise to the Almighty. I was flooded with many emotions, but profoundly impacted with the reality that everything we've been through over the past 10 months was worth it.
We began a 9 week study of Colossians called "Identity". We'll cover such questions as; who is the church, who is Jesus, who is the creator and who am I? Yesterday we covered who is Bedrock. You can listen to the message by clicking here.
We began at 7 a.m. unpacking a white box trailer. Church in a box! At 8:40 hospitality and kids rock workers began to show up to prepare their areas for the church to show up. The service began just a few minutes after 10 a.m. Thus, Bedrock Community Church gathered together to lift high the name of Jesus Christ. As the people left they were given chocolate chip cookies as a gift. Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies!!! By 1:00 p.m. the chairs were put away, the plastic tubs and sound-system were loaded back into the trailer and the floors were swept.
