Missions
God has given us the privilege of partnering with Because We Care Ministries. This mission was founded in 2000 by Dr. Donald Gillette as a Christian non-profit, inter-denominational, evangelism and relief ministry to the people of the nation of Nicaragua. Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America. To the north it is bordered by Honduras, and to the south by Costa Rica. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the western hemisphere, partly because of the long civil war of the 1980's and the devastation caused by hurricane Mitch in 1998. The vast majority of the five million inhabitants live in abject poverty with many suffering from severe malnutrition and starvation.
This ministry helps people meet their chief need for a Savior, while also helping to meet the critical physical needs of hunger, poor substandard housing, shortage of water, lack of schools and education, lack of churches and pastor sponsorship. Each team spends about a week in country ministering to the Nicaraguan people in some of the more remote villages. Besides the sharing of the Gospel, they offer general economic, healthcare, and emergency relief. To date they have helped feed tens of thousands of hungry people with hundreds of tons of food. We will be taking trips down to Nicaragua through Because We Care on a regular basis.

Local Missions
We have a partnership with a local coffee house called Stillwaters Coffee House. This is a great ministry where coffee and conversation collide. They offer various counseling programs during the week, live christian music on the weekends, and great coffee everyday. We also have a brand new widow's ministry here at Bedrock. James 1:27 says, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." We have adopted several widows in the Bedford community and we work hard to minister to their needs while maintaining their yards and landscaping. We also want to partner with you to help you share the life changing message of Jesus Christ with those who are in your community. The people you work with, the neighbors on your street, the other parents on your child's little league team, the waitress at the local restaraunt, all of these people and more need to hear about Jesus from you and we want to help you share with the world the peace that can only come from a real relationship with God through His son Jesus.
